Del City and the Wichita SlugOut
While working a case at work, I came across a dummy that a gentleman
owned and was looking to get rid of.  It seems that a low life piece of scum
took the other dummy that he used in his Christmas decoration and
destroyed it.  Well, this kind gentleman did not want one without the other.
So, he gave me this one.  It was actually used at the Winfield State Hospital
to help train the medical staff so the dummy is anatomically correct.
Master Love was named Director for the State of Kansas for the second time.  Last time it was

White Tiger Taekwondo traveled to Chicago last weekend on July 26th through the
28th for the 15th Annual USNTF (United States National Taekwondo Federation’s)
International Tournament.  The tournament was hosted by the president of
USNTF, Dr. Duk Gun Kwon, 9th Degree Grand Master.
White Tigers Decimate at Nationals in Chicago
White Tigers start off the tournament season with a bang.  Also check out the
awesome debut of Steven Robert Moss in his first armature fight in Wichita.
Meet Denton
That was a little embarrassing but we got over the shock value of it since it was a female
dummy.  We padded the upper torso so it could take punches and then padded the face.  We
then clothed it with an old Hapkido uniform and ordered special fighting gear for it.  Basically
we hoped the fighting gear would help protect it from getting damaged.  A head gear was
ordered and it was ready to go.  However the legs kept coming off and you had to be careful
when applying leg locks.  That was not good.  So, some good rope and a clamp here and
there and we finally got the legs to where they stay on most of the time.  I have recently started
using Denton on the mat and he seems to be working pretty good, the arms seem to emulate a
real arm and the legs move pretty good like if someone had broken legs, but overall I am
pleased.  I see him as a real asset as time goes on and we get more people involved in our
Hapkido program.
Student of the Year Announced
Steven Robert Moss was voted as this year's student of the month.  His name
will be added to the Student of the Year Plaque that hangs by the office door.
Steve has been a student for about 2 years now and has done very well in
class.  Steve has started his Mixed Martial Art career with a big win over Devon
Schwan.

White Tiger Taekwondo participated in the Air Capitol Taekwondo
Powerhouse Tournament March 29th, 2008.  It was hosted by Master David
Perreault.  This was an invitation to many schools, but it turned out to be a
little competition between our two schools.  There were only two categories,
Poomse or forms, and Sword fighting with padded swords.
